What is the Chamber?
The Chamber is a voluntary organization representing the area’s business interests. Civic groups, individuals and businesses unite through this organization focusing on improving the area’s business climate.
Why join the Chamber?
Membership is an investment in the community and its business climate. The Chamber unites the area’s businesses to serve as a salesperson and advocate for the community maximizing representation and effectively helping businesses.
What does the Chamber do?
Chamber members recognize that partnerships support existing businesses while recruiting new services. Chamber activities maximize opportunities for members to reach new customers while also providing business-to-business referrals.
Who funds the Chamber?
As a voluntary organization, the Chamber’s membership includes large and small businesses plus individuals interested in supporting the communi ty. The Chamber receives a small stipend from the City of Spring Hill for marketing and existing business relations.
How does the Chamber operate?
The Chamber works year round and provides information 24/7 through the Internet. Staff manages the office daily with support from volunteers. Polices and an Annual Plan of Work are approved by the Board of Directors. Monthly updates are provided by the staff to the Board of Directors. Updates are also given during the year’s six General Membership Meetings.
